On your trip down the Mekong you’ll see magnificent butterflies everywhere, feeding on the wild flowers, or especially on the sandy beaches, jostling for the best spot to sip on mineral rich water. The self-sustainable farmers in these riverside villages use very little pesticides which is why there are so many different species of butterflies in abundance. 

Like this white  Polyura nepenthes and the 3 dark blue Tigers or Tirumala septentrionis  at Ban Kok Phu.
